Active Meditation

We all think that meditation is having to sit in a position/posture and having to be still for a long period of time. I have recently learnt that there is something called an “active meditation”. Base on our core personality, different ways of meditation will get us into the state of mind.

Sitting still for a long period of time trying to focus on my breath will drive me crazy. It doesn’t work for me.

So, what is active meditation? Here’s how it goes. Without us being conscious of it, we naturally ‘meditate’ in our daily lives already. For example, when you find yourself being in a difficult situation in life and you feel stressed out, do you feel the need to do a lot of mundane activities like household chores? And while doing those many activities mindlessly, you find more space in your mind? That’s active meditation.

The state of meditation is when our mind is empty; where no thoughts are coming in and out and we are completely at peace. Being more calm and with the new headspace, it often brings out new ideas and energy for my daily life. Meditate the way that works for you and reap the benefits of it for yourself.

LOVE & PEACE!
