Yoga is not a sport. It’s a culture and a way of life. People would practice yoga are not in competition. They are not there to try to be better than you but rather, more often than not, will want you to be improve and be better. You can often see fellow yoga practitioner helping each other with yoga poses, giving tips on how to do a certain pose or to do it better. They are always sharing best practices, what works and what doesn’t. These sharing of yoga culture would often lead to true friendships. I have made many friends in my yoga sessions. There are no politics, no hidden agenda. We are bounded by our love of yoga and friendship cemented on it.
