  • Experience Rachel first discovered yoga in 2006 through a home practice video. Her curiosity piqued, she started going for classes, experimenting with different styles and studios. After finding Ashtanga yoga, she fell in love with the dynamic, disciplined style of moving meditation. A hip injury halted her practice for many years, but she never forgot about yoga and found her way back. Determined to fulfil her teenage dream of becoming a certified yoga teacher, Rachel recommitted herself to daily practice and successfully completed her 200 Hours Hatha/Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training (RYT200) with Tirisula Yoga in 2018.
  • Skills Rachel’s exposure to different teaching methods has influenced her teaching style. Her experience of sustaining injury through asana practice has balanced her intensity with caution, and she places emphasis on alignment during practice. Rachel enjoys helping students advance their practice by breaking poses down into shorter, simpler blocks. While her Flow and Core classes challenge students and push them to their limits, Rachel’s Beginner classes feature soothing, meditative music to create a relaxing and focused environment.
