Standing Still

One of the first things we learned in our 200hr TTC was breathing techniques. I had heard of this before in my yoga practice and listened to the teacher explain how to move with your breath. I knew that proper breathing technique was a very important part of yoga. It wasn’t until I learned more about pranayama that I began to see how much breathing affects everyone’s life in general.
After the first 2weeks of daily practice I began to notice how so many people seem to be in a rush all of the time. They are in a rush to eat, talk, walk…..being more aware of breath has made me feel almost like I am standing still while all the chaos goes on around me.
I think if everyone practiced pranayama the world would be a much happier place.
