Spa for the endocrine

Yoga brings a lot of benefits to Endocrine System from the breath technique to Asana and Meditation.
I specially want to talk about how yoga could benefit Hypothalamus. As I always feel Hypothalamus is amazing gland which is the centre of emotions
Hypothalamus is a part of brain that is responsible for the direct control of endocrine  system through pituitary gland. Pituitary gland is the master gland controlling the whole endocrine system, pineal gland, thyroid gland, parathyroid gland, thymus gland,  adrenal glands, pancreas, ovaries, testes are the part of  the endocrine system. The hypothalamus sends signals to pituitary gland which then releases chemicals to stimulate the hormones from other endocrine glands. So this will work like Hypothalamus–pituitary-organ pathway.
Yoga poses can stimulate the Hypothalamus, via Pituitary Gland to release our stress , sometimes generate the happiness. For example, the “King” of Asana –  headstand. During the headstand , the blood flow to the brain with deep breath which brings the rich oxygen, and thus improves the function of the brain and the function of Hypothalamus who is allocated in the brain. That’s why, after the headstand, some people will feel the stress is lifted and regain the energy back.
As the yoga breath technique has a good impact on endocrine system as well, for example , pranayama . Pranayama is the control of breath. It brings dual benefit. In one hand, it brings health mind , peaceful thought , and develop a calming environment for the brain and Hypothalamus, as the stress, anxiety or any other negative thoughts can disturb the Hypothalamus . On another hand,  during Pranayam, more oxygen is supplied to the lungs which is transported to each and every cells of the body. The blood supply and the oxygen supply also increases to the brain and hypothalamus thereby improving the functioning of the brain and hypothalamus.
Meditation also helps the endocrine system. Meditation gives the deep rest and inner peace to the brain. It drives the stress and negative thoughts away. Thus it can improve the function of Hypothalama.
As Hypothalamus is responsible for the direct control of endocrine  system. The benefit yoga brings to the Hypothalamus also benefit the whole endorcrine system. Yoga is able to create a beautiful healing and rejuvenating environment for Endocrine System.
