“Be Mindful in your practice. Take one step at a time to get the awareness in each part of the muscle.” This sentence repeated several times in class to remind all of us to be conscious all the time; that includes on and off the mat.
By systematically integrating our breath, alignment into our asana practice would be helpful for us to identify ways to get into the poses without hurting ourselves. Until we learn to apply the techniques, trust that the fruits of our practice will go beyond the physical level.
The journey has brought me to another level of understanding – be patience, be kind, the art of letting go and love yourself more than anything.
