Personal Feelings towards working on Chakras with Yoga and Pranayama

  1. Muladhara: Doing poses that work on this chakra could release negative emotions fear, anxiety and care and worries that hinder our progress towards happiness and the realisation of our individual potential. Poses include hip opening yoga poses: Gomukhasana, Utthan Pristhasana, Eka Pada Rajakapotasana, Agni Stambhasana
  2. Anahata: Working on this chakra will help release our suppressed emotions of fear and negativities that may afftect our future actions. It is a way to free ourselves from our past and a future not controlled by our past. Poses include chest openers and backbends: Dhanurasana, Setu Bandha Sarvangasana, Matsyasana, Urdhva Dhanurasana
  3. Vishuddha: Working on this help us communicate better and with confidence so as to prevent miscommunications and cause human conflicts. Poses include: matsyasana( fish pose) ,salambha sarvangasana ( shoulder stand), marjayasana (cat & dog),salabhasana(chest opener), Shalabhasana (all lifts/2 legs lift) Pranayama: Brahmari Pranayama
