I was not introduced to Chakra during my weekly yoga sessions. I was taught how to do the poses and hopefully at the end of the day sweat it all out. There are a total of 7 chakras in our body. Doing certain yoga poses will balance these chakras and relieve these blockages. I think I need to balance my Manipura Chakra which is the Navel Chakra. Manipura means jewel city. It contains element of fire. I always have issues with constipation and maybe low self esteem at times. There are times that I do not have courage to pursue an interest or take up any challenges. I need to focus more on core and twist yoga poses to balance this chakra. Dhanurasana(Bow Pose), Navasana (Boat pose) and Parvritta Trikonasana (Revolved Triangle) are some of the asanas I can add into my practice routine. Balancing this chakra will encourage oneself to take on more challenges confidently in life and being successful. I need to balance this Chakra so that I can be more successful in life.
