I always start my morning yoga practice with a cleansing technique, Kapalabhati.
When we sleep at night, we dream and dreams collect toxic waste. By starting the day with Kapalabhati, it helps cleanse the skull of toxic waste and clears the mind for the start of a fresh new day. I have always experienced problems with digestion. I get bloated easily and also experience constipation occasionally. The next few postures are Asanas that I incorporate in my morning yoga practice that has helped with the efficiency of my digestive system.
1. Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose)
2. Adho Mukha Shvanasana (Downward Facing Dog)
3. Dhanurasana (Bow Pose)
4. Ushtrasana (Camel Pose)
5. Pawan Muktasana (Wind Releasing Pose)
6. Paschimottanasana (Forward bending pose)
Hold each pose for 5 breaths
With the cleansing of the skull, stretching and releasing the gases in my digestive system, it helps in expelling all toxic waste and gets my body ready to start the day.
