THE  SEVEN  CHAKRAS  OF  YOGA
In  yoga , there  are  seven  types  of  chakra  also  known  as  “ energy centres ”  or  “ wheels ”  found  from  . The  chakras  are  one  of  the  keypoint  to  high  balanced  energy  levels and  consciousness; ie : when it flows smoothly. It  is  the  solution  to  those who  struggle  in  various  asanas .
Chakra  Points :
a)    Crown  Chakra ( Sahasrara )
–       Highest  chakra
–       Located at the top of head
–       Spiritual Connection
–       Yoga  poses  to  activate  chakra : 1. Meditation  &  Breathing
 
b)    Third – Eye ( Brow ) Chakra ( Ajna )
–       Located  on  forehead
–       Concentration / Focusing
–       Yoga  poses ( Any  with  eyes  closed ) : 1. Vrksasana ( Tree  pose )
2. Mountain pose
 
c)    Throat  Chakra ( Vishuddha )
–       Located  in  the  throat
–       Communication
–       Yoga  poses : 1. Plow
2. Shoulder  stand
3. Bridge ( Setu  Bandhasana )
d)  Heart  Chakra ( Anahata )
–       Located  in  the  mid  of  chest
–       Love
–       Yoga  poses : 1. Camel
2. Upward  Facing  Bow
3. Eagel  Pose
4. Bow  Pose
e)  Solar  Plexus ( Navel ) Chakra ( Manipura )
            – Located in  upper  abdomen
–  Confidence  &  control  of  our  lives
– Yoga  Poses : 1. Crow ( Bakasana )   2. Handstand
f)  Sacral  Chakra ( Swadhisthana )
–  Located  in  lower  abdomen
–  Link  and  ability  to  accept  new  experiences  and  people
– Yoga  poses :  1. Cow  Face
2. Bound  Angle
3. Wide  Angle
g)  Root  Chakra ( Muladhara )
–  Location:  Base  of spine
– Foundation  and  grounding
– Yoga  poses : 1. Mountain
2. Warrior  1  &  2
3. Reverse  Warrior
4. Side  Angle
5. Restorative  Pose
Note: Chakras’  level  should  be  maintained  in  a  fair  level . Excessive  level  can  lead  to  unhealthy  force  dominating  one’s  life .
