Rachel Young

Yoga Master Teacher (E-RYT 500), Hatha Style Rachel Young | Yoga Teacher | E-RYT 500

Rachel Young, originally from Cardiff, UK, moved to Singapore with her husband and two sons in 2005. She started practicing yoga back in the UK at a local gym in 1998 and it was a new trend back then. The Yoga that was very popular was called Ashtanga Yoga. Back then,  she had a great Indian teacher and was immediately captured.

In 2006 she took her first 200hr training course in Sivananda style Hatha Yoga. Following that, she had taken many other courses in different styles of yoga, meditation, and pranayama, including a 500hr Advanced Yoga Teacher Training course with Tirisula Yoga in 2008. She is also trained under Master Paalu Ramasamy and Satya Chong  from Tirisula Yoga Master Trainer Course. For Rachel, Yoga is a way of life and part of her everyday routine.

She has taught many students of many kinds over the years including mums and daughters, corporate bankers, sports professionals, students with sports injuries, high blood pressure, and students who want to eliminate weight problems. She has had 100% success with all her students and they still practice Yoga and have a healthy lifestyle with old injuries vanquished!!

Rachel has been a victim of the injury queen, she had hurt her ankle badly in a game of squash and also had a golfers arm (inside elbow). Which she unfortunately had to have surgery on, this never ever stopped her from her daily activities and she remained positive through out, although she had to slow down and listen to what her body told her. Otherwise, recovery would have been much much longer. She is well on her way to a speedy recovery. By practicing asana everyday she regained the strength back in her ankle and elbow.

Rachel’s motto in life is “don’t let anything stop you doing what you want to do, set your goals early go for them and achieve them” Don’t make excuses of I haven’t got time, you haven’t not got time!!

Stay happy, healthy and safe.

Namaste.
