Yoga Master Teacher (English)
Her inspiration for teaching yoga is using the external body to understand the internal.
Promoting self awareness to move the body, not just teaching the poses but teaching the students their bodies through the movement of the poses. To create an internal space of grounding and balance while on the mat.
She began to practice asana in 1997 to rehabilitate a foot and hip injury damaged in an auto accident in 1995. After the accident her doctor’s advise was to stop running or sustain further damage to the areas. After a few years practice she was able to run again. But the real benefit received was a feeling of being grounded while floating through the poses. Asana became a treasured time away from a stressful career, a time of internal serenity. Over time yoga has developed into a way of life, a strong, healthy body allows for a calm open mind.
A passion for pranayama and meditation developed after many years of practice and was integral in understanding the relationship to external stress and it’s effects on systems of the body. These techniques helped her strengthen a depressed immune and adrenal system due to severe food allergies. She is well versed in nutrition and healthy cooking . Prior to teaching yoga she was a business trainer and consultant in the United States.
Katrina relocated to Singapore from Portland, Oregon, USA in 2010 and transitioned into her yoga teaching career.

•In 2012 Katrina began to instruct in the teachers training at Tirisula Yoga School as a Master Teacher candidate under Master Paalu Ramasamy (200 hrs Yoga Alliance certification).
•Since 2011 Katrina has taught Beginners Hatha, Ashtanga, Pranayama, Meditation in group and private classes in Singapore
