Months 4 to 6
- The baby is now about 5 inches long weighing 5 ounces, the skeleton is starting to harden from rubbery cartilage to bone
- Eyebrows and eyelids are now in place
- The wrinkled skin is starting to smooth out as the baby puts on baby fat
Months 7 to 9
- The weight of the baby is about 3 pounds and is more than 15 inches long with the eyes open and close, following a light
- The layers of fat are filling the baby out, getting rounder and lungs are well developed
