Chakra – Scientific or Superstitious ?

Chakra is definitely a new word in my vocabulary list. The dictionary defined Chakra as the center of spiritual power in the body. Body is the physical body. Spiritual Power is an invisible force, abundant in nature, allowing for the betterment of all. This Invisible force governances our emotional states. When our emotions are in flux, physical imbalances and illnesses are likely to surface.
Is Chakra scientific or superstitious?
Explaining this from Yoga perspective. Within our bodies, there are 7 Chakras where we need to gain balance. The 7 Chakras are the energy centers in our body in which energy flows through. Blocked energy in our 7 Chakras can often lead to illness so it’s important to understand what each Chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely. Understanding the Yoga asanas and practicing the right asanas to strengthen/open up these chakras, maintain the balance, they bring peace and harmony to the mind and body. This balance allows one to excel in all fields of life and live a happy and content

3. Manipura/ Solar Plexus Chakra – Our ability to be confident and in-control of our lives strengthen with Dhanurasana (Bow Pose)
4. Anahata/ Heart Chakra – Our ability to love. Strengthen with Ustrasana (Camel Pose)
5. Visuddha /Throat Chakra – Our ability to communicate. Strengthen with Matsyasana (Fish Pose)

7. Crown Chakra – The highest Chakra represents our ability to be fully connected spiritually. Continue with Seated Yoga Mudra.
Not much info on the scientific aspect of Chakra and neither do I think that it is superstitious. I am just trying to seek if there is a common ground between spiritual philosophy and scientific knowledge. I have to accept the fact that Chakra is esoteric. With self-observation and reflection, I do believe that we have a physical body and an astral body. Yoga (asanas and pranayamas) and Chakra will be used to map the correlations of the movement from energy to matter with different level of consciousness.
Thus instead of denying the spiritual aspect, I read that the fastest and easiest way to nourish our spiritual connection is to recognize it. Acknowledge this connection in our daily life – birth and death, flowers blossom and wither, Stars that shine. With each breath we take and connection of the life force around us, we express our gratitude to feel the peace and happiness. We not only build our physical body, we build the connection of the physical and Astral bodies developing the spiritual intelligence and consciousness. This map of consciousness will guide and gives me a better understanding of myself and those around me.
